Florida Federal Judge Denies Stay In Dispute Over Defective Air Bags

(October 5, 2015, 7:07 AM EDT) -- MIAMI — Efforts by auto manufacturers to invoke the primary jurisdiction doctrine to obtain a six-month stay of multidistrict litigation over defective air bags were rejected Sept. 23 by the Florida federal judge overseeing the dispute (In re: Takata Airbags Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2599, S.D. Fla.).
