(October 1, 2015, 3:17 PM EDT) -- CHICAGO — Alleged heirs to a woman who played the role of Aunt Jemima on Sept. 29 asserted to the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals that Pepsico Inc. and The Quaker Oats Co. engaged in a deliberate act of “industrial espionage” to profit off their grandmother’s image (D.W. Hunter and Larnell Evans Jr., for the estate of Anna Short Harrington v. Pepsico, Inc., et al., No. 15-1424, 7th Cir.).
