Student Chapter Members Seek Summary Judgment In Trademark Dispute

(October 1, 2015, 3:12 PM EDT) -- DES MOINES, Iowa — Members of a student chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) argue in a Sept. 21 brief in Iowa federal court that their rights were violated when Iowa State University (ISU) administrators prohibited the use of the university’s trademarked logo with their chapter’s use of a marijuana image on T-shirts (Paul Gerlich and Erin Furleigh v. Steven Leath, et al., No. 14-264, S.D. Iowa).
