Florida Appeals Panel Upholds Class Certification Of Cruise Doctors In Wage Suit
Mealey's (October 1, 2015, 7:21 AM EDT) -- MIAMI, Fla. — A Florida appellate panel on Sept. 16 affirmed certification of a class of doctors who worked for a cruise ship line and allege that medication sales were improperly excluded from the “total medical revenues” upon which they were to be paid a percentage (Celebrity Cruises, Inc. v. Jerry Rankin, M.D., et al., No. 3D14-3137, Fla. App., 3rd Dist.; 2015 Fla. App. LEXIS 13778).
