Manufacturers Say To High Court: Claim Construction Standard Is Error In Patent Suit
(September 16, 2015, 3:50 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — Manufacturers argue in a Sept. 8 petition to the U.S. Supreme Court that a ruling that a Texas federal judge erred in finding that a liquid crystal display (LCD) manufacturing process patent failed to inform, with reasonable certainty, a skilled artisan about the scope of the claimed invention undermines the claim construction standard (Chunghwa Picture Tubes Ltd. v. Eidos Display, LLC and Eidos III, LLC, et al., No. 15-288, U.S. Sup.).
