Pharmacy, Former Owner Sentenced For Health Care Fraud
(September 16, 2015, 1:55 PM EDT) -- CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A West Virginia pharmacy was put on probation for three years and its former owner was sentenced to one year and one day in jail by a federal judge on Sept. 16 after they pleaded guilty to defrauding Medicare and Medicaid by dispensing compounded drugs but billing for more expensive brand-name drugs (United States of America v. Trivillian’s Pharmacy, No. 14-cr-00279, S.D. W.Va.).
