California Federal Judge Keeps Railroad Worker’s Suit In Federal Court

(September 16, 2015, 11:57 AM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — A railroad worker’s unfair business practices suit against his employer belongs in federal, not state, court, a California federal judge ruled Sept. 8 in an order in which the employer’s motion to dismiss was also rejected (Eyon Neal Christmas v. Union Pacific Railroad Co., et al., No. 15-2612, C.D. Calif.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 119364).
