California Federal Judge Denies Approval Of Carter’s $472,500 Wage Settlement

(September 16, 2015, 8:15 AM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal judge on Sept. 4 declined to grant preliminary approval to a $472,500 settlement by a children’s clothing retailer accused of various wage violations, finding that the plaintiffs failed to provide sufficient data for the court to determine the reasonableness of the agreement (Julie Dudum, et al. v. Carter’s Retail, Inc., No. 14-988, N.D. Calif.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 118583).
