Administrator Sentenced To 7 Years In Jail, Ordered To Pay $1.3M Over Fraud

(September 10, 2015, 2:34 PM EDT) -- CHICAGO — A federal judge in Illinois on Sept. 4 sentenced the administrator of a physicians practice that visits the homes of patients to more than seven years in prison and ordered him to pay $1.3 million in restitution for his role in a five-year, $4 million scheme to bill Medicare for services that were never provided, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Sept. 4 (United States of America v. Rick Brown, No. 13-cr-00854, N.D. Ill.).
