2nd Circuit Reinstates Teacher’s Racial Bias, Retaliation Claims

(September 10, 2015, 7:42 AM EDT) -- NEW YORK — The Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Sept. 2 reinstated a teacher’s racial bias and retaliation claims, finding that he presented evidence of actions that, when taken together, could support claims of discrimination and then punishment for complaining of discrimination (Carlos Vega v. Hempstead Union Free School District, et al., No. 14-2265, 2nd Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 15572).
