Fertilizer Company, Contractor To Pay $80,689 For Clean Water Act Violations

(September 10, 2015, 7:15 AM EDT) -- LENEXA, Kans. — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Aug. 19 that Iowa Fertilizer LLC and Orascom E&C USA agreed to pay $80,869 to resolve allegations that storm water discharges at Iowa Fertilizer’s new facility in Wever, Iowa, have exceeded limits allowed by a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit (In the matter of: Iowa Fertilizer LLC, et al., No. CWA-07-2015-0074, U.S. EPA).
