California Court Finds Contractor Had No Duty To Warn About Tree

(September 4, 2015, 12:51 PM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A California appellate court on Aug. 21 affirmed a ruling in favor of a tree service contractor, finding that he had no duty to inspect a tree that fell on a passerby's vehicle eight months after he removed a nearby fallen tree trunk (Lydia Nagal, et al. v. County of Napa, et al., No. A140175, Calif. App., 1st Dist., Div. 2; 2015 Cal. App. Unpub. LEXIS 5965).
