Examiners: Evidence Lacking; Texas Earthquakes Cannot Be Blamed On Fracking

(September 3, 2015, 1:28 PM EDT) -- AUSTIN, Texas — Two examiners with the Railroad Commission of Texas (RCT) on Aug. 31 issued a proposal for decision to the entire RCT in which they recommend that the RCT find that the evidence does not support the conclusion that a hydraulic fracturing company’s operation of a salt water injection well was a “likely contribution” to earthquakes that were reported in two towns in Texas in 2013 and 2014.
