ACA Exchanges Will Feature 77 New Issuers, HHS Says

Mealey's (June 12, 2015, 4:22 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) exchanges will feature 77 new insurance issuers in 2015, a 25 percent increase from the previous year, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said Sept. 23, 2014.

The federal exchange, which covers states that did not establish their own exchanges, will see 57 more issuers, HHS said. That represents a 30 percent increase, HHS said.
