Government Abandons 6th Circuit Appeal In Birth Control Mandate Case

Mealey's (June 12, 2015, 4:06 PM EDT) -- DETROIT — The U.S. government on Sept. 3, 2014, moved in the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to voluntarily dismiss its appeal of a Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act contraceptive mandate ruling (Thomas Monaghan, et al. v. Sylvia M. Burwell, et al., No. 13-1654. 6th Cir.).
