Judge Dismisses Portions Of False Claims Act Suit Over Fraudulent Billing

(August 26, 2015, 11:59 AM EDT) -- CHICAGO — A federal judge in Illinois on Aug. 20 dismissed with prejudice a claim in a woman’s lawsuit in which she alleged that a medical billing service she worked for fired her in retaliation for her complaints that it knowingly submitted false bills to Medicare and Medicaid when the documents did not include the proper billing codes, but allowed the plaintiff to amend her claim that her supervisor received kickbacks as a result of the scheme (United States of America, ex rel.
