7th Circuit Orders Class Certification In Chicago Teachers’ Bias Suit

(August 18, 2015, 2:05 PM EDT) -- CHICAGO — The Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Aug. 7 reversed a decision denying certification to a class of Chicago teachers who allege that the selection of their schools for reconstitution was racially discriminatory (Chicago Teachers Union, Local No. 1, et al. v. Board of Education of the City of Chicago, No. 14-2843, 7th Cir.; 2015 U.S. App. LEXIS 13831).
