FTC Settles With Principals Of Data Brokers That Sold Consumers’ Information

Mealey's (August 14, 2015, 1:09 PM EDT) -- LAS VEGAS — A Nevada federal court on Aug. 12 issued orders and entered stipulated judgments against three defendants who were employees of two data broker firms that are charged with the sale of consumers’ private data that led to fraudulent charges and debits against the consumers by a third party (Federal Trade Commission v. Sequoia One LLC, et al., No. 2:15-cv-01512, D. Nev.).
