Federal Judge Declines To Disqualify Attorney, Law Firm From Bad Faith Suit

Mealey's (August 12, 2015, 10:18 AM EDT) -- BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A federal judge in New York on July 30 declined to disqualify an attorney from an insurance bad faith lawsuit arising from Superstorm Sandy damage, ruling that an insurer has failed to show that the attorney had a conflict of interest (Pietro Giambrone, et al. v. Meritplan Insurance Co., No. 13-7377, E.D. N.Y.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 100000).
