California Federal Judge Grants Injunction To Bar State Action In Labor Dispute

(August 10, 2015, 1:34 PM EDT) -- SANTA ANA, Calif. — A federal judge in California on June 16 granted an employer’s motion for a permanent injunction to halt plaintiffs from continuing further proceedings against the defendant in a state court action, finding that the claims in the state court action are related to labor dispute claims, including an unfair competition law (UCL) claim, raised in a pending federal court action (Garmaliel Aguirre, et al. v. Genesis Logistics, et al., No. 12-687, C.D. Calif.; 2015 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 78748).
