Judge Refuses To Halt Injection Of Fracking Fluids Into Drinking Water Aquifers
(August 10, 2015, 10:02 AM EDT) -- OAKLAND, Calif. — A California state judge on July 16 denied a motion for preliminary injunction sought by environmental groups that contend that a state agency improperly permitted hydraulic fracturing companies to inject fracking fluids into drinking water aquifers, saying plaintiffs make “general propositions” that “do not constitute evidence of the risk of imminent harm” (Center for Biological Diversity v. California Department of Conservation, No. RG15769302, Calif. Super., Alameda Co.).
