Pfizer Liable For Subsidiary’s Insulation Under Restatement, Widow Argues

Mealey's (August 11, 2015, 9:49 AM EDT) -- SEATTLE — Sufficient evidence exists to hold Pfizer Inc. liable as the “apparent manufacturer” of Quigley Inc.’s asbestos-containing insulation under Restatement (Second) of Torts Section 400, a widow told the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on June 26. On July 17, Pfizer was given until Aug. 26 to respond (Shareleen Sprague, personal representative of the estate of James Olson v. Pfizer Inc., No. 15-35051, 9th Cir.).
