Nanticoke Tribe Sues For Wrongful Repudiation Of Its Recognition As Tribe

Mealey's (July 22, 2015, 12:06 PM EDT) -- NEWARK, N.J. — The Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribal Nation on July 20 sued the State of New Jersey in federal court for allegedly wrongfully repudiating its official recognition of the nation as an American Indian tribe (Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribal Nation v. John Jay Hoffman, acting attorney general of New Jersey, in his official capacity, No. 15-5645, D. N.J.).
