Ohio High Court: Residents Not Entitled To Put Fracking Initiative On Ballot

Mealey's (October 7, 2016, 3:13 PM EDT) -- COLUMBUS, Ohio — A divided Ohio Supreme Court on Sept. 13 ruled that residents who sought mandamus relief to put initiatives on the November ballot, which would give certain local municipalities the authority to regulate hydraulic fracturing, were not entitled to that relief (State ex rel. Virginia L. Coover v. Jon Husted, No. 2016-1247, Ohio Sup.).
