702 Severed Plaintiffs In Email Scanning Suit Settle With Google
Mealey's (October 6, 2016, 1:42 PM EDT) -- SAN JOSE, Calif. — Six weeks after a California federal judge severed more than 700 mass-joined plaintiffs in a suit alleging privacy violations in Google Inc.’s purported scanning of their emails, 702 of the remaining plaintiffs on Oct. 3 filed notices of settlement and voluntary dismissal (Ryan Corley, et al. v. Google Inc., No. 5:16-cv-00473, N.D. Calif.).
