Federal Judge Finds Borrower Failed To Show Mortgage Was Invalid

(September 30, 2016, 12:19 PM EDT) -- COLUMBUS, Ohio — An Ohio federal judge on Sept. 28 granted a lender's motion to dismiss a foreclosure-related action filed against it, finding that the underlying loan was not unconscionable (Helen Smith v. Household Realty Corp., No. 2:16-CV-360, S.D. Ohio; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 133423).
