Och-Ziff To Pay Nearly $200M To Settle SEC Action Over Bribery Violations

(September 30, 2016, 12:06 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — Och-Ziff Capital Management Group LP will pay $199,045,167, and its CEO will pay more than $2 million to settle civil charges in U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission administrative and cease-and-desist proceedings charging the defendants with violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) in connection with a series of bribery schemes with high-level government officials in Africa, according to an SEC administrative order filed Sept. 29 (In the Matter of Och-Ziff Capital Management Group LP, et al., No. 3-17595, SEC).
