Federal Judge Confirms $46 Million Award Issued Against Republic Of Niger
(September 30, 2016, 9:57 AM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — After finding that it had jurisdiction over a petition to confirm a $46,128,410 arbitral award that was issued in favor of a biometric and electronic passport maker, a District of Columbia federal judge on Sept. 27 confirmed the award and entered judgment against the Republic of Niger (Africard Co. Ltd. v. Republic of Niger, No. 16-00196, D. D.C.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 132128).
