Mealey's (September 29, 2016, 1:16 PM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — Chevron Corp. on Sept. 19 filed a brief in California federal court arguing that the claims brought by a group of Nigerian residents who contend that the company is liable for damages related to the explosion of one of its natural gas rigs are “invalid” and that their contention that the explosion caused harm to coastal communities “is not supported by any admissible expert analysis” (Foster Ogola, et al. v. Chevron Corporation, No. 14-173, N.D. Calif.).
