Former Cherokee Nation Worker Battles Tribe’s Request To Dismiss Appeal

Mealey's (September 29, 2016, 12:33 PM EDT) -- TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Neither a new Cherokee Nation law nor a former tribal employee’s resignation renders the ex-worker’s appeal of the dismissal of his constructive discharge claims against the tribe moot, the former employee argues in a Sept. 27 objection to the tribe’s bid to have the Cherokee Nation Supreme Court halt the appeal (David Comingdeer v. Cherokee Nation, et al., No. SC-16-07, Cherokee Nation Sup.).
