Mealey's (September 23, 2016, 1:21 PM EDT) -- DEMING, Wash. — An Indian appeals court on Sept. 21 nullified the disbarments of three Native American law firm attorneys representing more than 300 tribal members fighting the tribal council’s efforts to disenroll them from the tribe, ruling that the lawyers have standing to pursue claims in the trial court that their due process rights were violated by the disbarments (In re Gabriel S. Galanda, et al. v. Nooksack Tribal Court, No. 2016-CI-CL-001 & 002, Nooksack Tribal App.).
