Judge Nixes Law Firm’s Declaratory Judgment Claims In Suit Against John Crane

(September 22, 2016, 11:09 AM EDT) -- LOS ANGELES — A California federal judge on Aug. 26 dismissed declaratory judgment and breach of contract claims filed by an asbestos personal injury law firm battling fraud, conspiracy and racketeering allegations leveled against it by frequent defendant John Crane Inc. (JCI) but allowed the firm to file an amended breach of contract claim (Simon Greenstone Panatier Bartlett PC, et al. v. John Crane Inc., No. 16-1179, C.D. Calif.).
