California Federal Judge Denies TRO Application In Franchise Fee Dispute

(September 16, 2016, 12:53 PM EDT) -- SAN JOSE, Calif. — A California federal judge on Aug. 26 denied a salon franchisee’s motion for a temporary restraining order (TRO) and preliminary injunction enjoining Fantastic Sams Salons Corp. from proceeding with a demand for arbitration filed with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) because the franchisee has not raised the types of “serious questions” necessary for a TRO and has failed to show irreparable harm (Capelli Enterprises Inc., et al. v.
