New York AG Announces Settlement With Kids’ Site Operators Over Illegal Tracking

(September 14, 2016, 4:23 PM EDT) -- ALBANY, N.Y. — In a Sept. 13 press release, New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman announced that his office has resolved its investigation of the operators of several popular kid-oriented websites that had been illegally tracking the online activities of their minor users in violation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
