North Carolina Federal Judge Grants Preliminary Injunction Enforcing Noncompete Clause
Mealey's (September 14, 2016, 2:13 PM EDT) -- CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A North Carolina federal judge on Sept. 12 granted Maaco Franchising LLC’s motion for a preliminary injunction to prevent former franchisees from operating a confusingly similar automotive services business at a former Maaco center in Michigan (Maaco Franchising LLC v. Jeffrey R. Boensch, et al., No. 3:16-cv-155, W.D. N.C.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 123203).
