Mealey's (September 7, 2016, 3:18 PM EDT) -- FRANKLIN, Ohio — The Ohio secretary of state on Sept. 1 filed a brief in the Ohio Supreme Court contending that the mandamus relief sought by residents who want to put initiatives on the November ballot to give their local municipalities authority to regulate hydraulic fracturing is not appropriate because they are not entitled to “the extraordinary relief of mandamus” (State ex rel. Virginia L. Coover v. Jon Husted, No. 2016-1247, Ohio Sup.).
