Water District’s Ballot Question Shortened After Target Seeks Court Order
(September 6, 2016, 3:30 PM EDT) -- SANTA ANA, Calif. — A California water district on Aug. 31 agreed to shorten a ballot question about consolidating with a solid waste and sewer district after the president of the latter’s board went to court to remove language that he said suggested a “yes” vote instead of being neutral (Michael Scheafer v. Neal Kelly, et al., No. 30-2016-00871831, Calif. Super., Orange Co.).
