Tennessee Approves Weighted ACA Premium Increase Of 59 Percent

Mealey's (September 2, 2016, 12:10 PM EDT) -- NASHVILLE, Tenn. —The State of Tennessee on Aug. 23 approved premium increases of between 44.3 percent and 62 percent for policies sold through the state’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) individual health insurance marketplace.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, which serves 68.9 percent of Tennessee’s individual market, led the way with an approved increase of 62 percent.
