(August 24, 2016, 4:21 PM EDT) -- PHILADELPHIA — The Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Aug. 22 denied a sur-petition for rehearing en banc filed by two environmental advocacy groups that had contended that a Pennsylvania federal judge erred when she ruled that the groups were improperly granted the right to intervene in a case involving a dispute over underground injection control (UIC) wells that are used in hydraulic fracturing operations (Pennsylvania General Energy Company LLC v. Grant Township, et al., No. 15-3770, 3rd Cir.)....
