(August 24, 2016, 1:44 PM EDT) -- DENVER — Former officials with the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) on Aug. 19 filed an amicus curiae brief in the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals arguing that the DOI has, and must have, the authority to “promulgate uniform rules to protect federal lands and natural resources from the risks posed by hydraulic fracturing” (State of Wyoming, et al. v. Sally Jewell, et al., No. 16-8068, 10th Cir.).
