Magistrate Judge: Photos Show Defendants Polluted Creek, Violated Consent Decree

(August 24, 2016, 7:03 AM EDT) -- NEW YORK— A federal magistrate judge in New York on Aug. 16 ordered a defendant company and its owner to pay $50,000 to an environmental group and reimburse it for $79,776.39 in attorney fees and costs, finding that photographs submitted by the plaintiff group showed that the defendants violated the terms of a consent decree that prohibited them from committing any further violations of the Clean Water Act (CWA) (Riverkeeper Inc. v.
