Judge Allows Majority Of Class Claims Against General Mills To Proceed

(August 17, 2016, 3:37 PM EDT) -- SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal judge on Aug. 5 refused to completely dismiss a class action complaint filed by consumers who assert claims for violation of California's unfair competition law (UCL) in relation to cereal labeling, finding that a reasonable consumer could possibly be deceived by the advertisement (Nancy Coe, et al. v. General Mills Inc., No. 15-cv-05112, N.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 105769).
