Environmental Groups Want Emergency Water Rules To Protect Endangered Smelt

(August 10, 2016, 11:55 AM EDT) -- Three environmental groups on Aug. 9 asked the California State Water Resources Control Board to impose emergency regulations on water diversions and exports from the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta and watershed in order to save the Delta smelt, an endangered fish species.
