Judge Finds Claims Against Macy's Related To Bath Mats Should Be Dismissed
Mealey's (July 29, 2016, 2:00 PM EDT) -- FRESNO, Calif. — A California federal judge on July 21 granted a retailer's request to dismiss claims for violation of California's unfair competition law (UCL) and other California law claims against it, finding that a purchaser's allegations are solely based on misleading statements on the packaging of bath mats (John Crenshaw v. Macy's Inc., et al., No. 1:16-CV-765, E.D. Calif.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 95522).
