Parents Of Tribal Member Killed In Police Chase Say Civil Rights Claims Valid

(July 26, 2016, 3:43 PM EDT) -- WASHINGTON, D.C. — The parents of a Ute Tribe member who was killed during a police chase asked the U.S. Supreme Court on July 13 to review a decision by the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals affirming a Utah federal court’s dismissal of civil rights claims against the police officers involved in the incident (Debra Jones, et al. v. Vance Norton, et al., No. 16-72, U.S. Sup.; 2016 U.S. S. Ct. Briefs LEXIS 2668).
