West Virginia Federal Judge Approves $8.5M Birth Injury Settlement

(July 25, 2016, 5:08 PM EDT) -- HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A West Virginia federal judge on July 13 approved an $8.5 million settlement and awarded attorney fees in a case alleging that a minor suffered serious, lifelong injuries during his birth at a federally qualified health center (Tanise Jackson, individually and as the mother and next friend of M.M., an infant v. United States of America, et al., No. 3:14-15086, S.D. W.Va.; 2016 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 90914).
