Monsanto Says Glyphosate ‘Repeatedly’ Shown To Be Safe, Denies Liability
(July 22, 2016, 9:49 AM EDT) -- HONOLULU — Monsanto Co. filed its answer to a glyphosate injury lawsuit in Hawaii federal court on July 13, contending that the chemical has “repeatedly” been found to be “safe to humans and the environment”; therefore, the company denies liability for any injury allegedly sustained by the plaintiffs (Christine Sheppard, et al. v. Monsanto Company, No. 16-43, D. Hawaii).
